West 7th Avenue and Lane East Dunbar Street sewer main replacement project

City crews have begun their construction to replace the aging sewer main along West 7th Avenue and in Lane East of Dunbar Street.

Project Update (April 16, 2014)

  • City crews are currently working in 3500 blk West 7th Avenue between Collingwood Street and Dunbar Street and is expected to be completed by April 22, 2014. Road will be closed to all traffic for the duration of project. 

Location and expected duration

  • 3400-3600 blk West 7th Avenue (from Alma Street to Waterloo Street)
    • Start: Thursday, February 13, 2014
    • End: April 2014

    Hours of work

    • Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (may include weekend work)

    • Completed 

    Impacts to traffic, parking and residents

    Traffic in West 7th Avenue and lane east of Dunbar Street adjacent to the project area will be closed off or reduced during construction.

    Residents access will be maintained at all times.

    Local parking may be affected by the presence of work trailers and construction equipment. Temporary parking restrictions will be removed as soon as they no longer needed.

    How this project will improve the city

    This project will improve the condition of the sewer system in this neighbourhood.
