City crews have completed the reconstruction of the water main along West 50th Avenue, West 51st Avenue and Dunbar Street.

  • 6500-6600 blk Dunbar Street (from West 49th Avenue to West 51st Avenue)

  • 3600-3800 blk West 50th Avenue (from Dunbar Street to Wallace Street)
    • Start: May 12, 2014
    • End:  June 2014
  • 3600-3800 blk West 51st Avenue (from Dunbar Street to Wallace Street)
    • Start: November 2014
    • End: December 2014

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (may include weekend work)

Status

  • Completed 

Impacts to traffic, parking and residents

Traffic in West 50th Avenue, West 51st Avenue and Dunbar Street adjacent to the project area will be reduced to single lane alternating. Flaggers and signages will be used to direct traffic.

Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Access to the Musqueam Golf Course will be maintained at all times.

Local parking may also be affected by the presence of our work trailers and construction equipment.

How this project will improve the city

This project will improve the condition of the water main system in this neighbourhood. Watermain capacity is also being increased to better serve the community.
