West 33rd Avenue sewer main replacement project

The City of Vancouver have completed the construction of installing a new sewer main on West 33rd Avenue from Marguerite Street to Cartier Street.

  • 1400 - 1600 blk West 33rd Avenue (from Marguerite Street to Cartier Street)

Duration of work

  • Start: September 28, 2015
  • End:  mid March 2016

Hours of work

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm (unless overtime is required due to unforeseen circumstances)

Status

  • Completed

Impact to traffic, parking and residents

Traffic on West 33rd Avenue from Marguerite St to Cartier St will be closed throughout construction.  Local traffic access only on West 33rd Avenue from Oak St to Cartier St.

Parking restrictions will be removed as soon as they no longer needed.

The City recognizes the impact that this project will have on the neighbourhood and we appreciate your understanding as we undertake this important infrastructure project.

How this project will improve the city

This project will improve the sewer main infrastructure in this neighbourhood. Once replaced, the pipes are expected to serve the neighbourhood for another 100 years.
