Impacts to traffic, parking and businesses

In early July 2012, the City of Vancouver started major roadwork on Grandview Highway from Boundary Road to about 150m west.  Two traffic lanes in each direction will be maintained whenever possible.  Some limited additional lane closures may be required during off-peak times to complete related work.  You may experience traffic delays, road closures and traffic congestion.  Please use alternate routes when possible.

How this project will improve the city

The project will create a new eastbound left turn bay and short High Occupancy Vehicle (ride-share) queue jumper lanes on Grandview Highway at Boundary Road.  The project is being coordinated with similar improvements being constructed on the Highway 1 side of the intersection (built by the provincial government’s Transportation Investment Corporation) Once the new left turn bay is in operation a new median will also be constructed on Boundary Road at 11th Avenue.
