Canada Line bridge construction project

City crews have begun the construction of the pedestrian and cyclist connections along Cambie Street and along West Kent Avenue North and West Kent Avenue South.

  • 500 blk West Kent Avenue North ( from Ash Street to Cambie Street)
  • 8400-8600 blk Cambie Street (from West Kent Avenue North to Cambie Street)

  • End:  June 2014

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm ( may include weekend work)

Impacts to traffic, parking, businesses and residents

Traffic on West Kent Avenue and Cambie Street will not be closed throughout construction, although traffic delays will be expected.

Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times.

Temporary parking restriction will be in effect during construction, and will be removed as soon as they are no longer needed.

How this project will improve the city

This project will provide an all ages and abilities walking and cycling connection linking Richmond via the Canada Line pedestrian-cyclist bridge with the existing Cambie Street 2-way separated bike lanes north of SW Marine Drive.
