Request a fire incident report online

To get information about a fire, motor vehicle accident, or other emergency where Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services responded, you can order copies of the fire incident report by email.

The cost of the report varies and depends upon the level of detail required in the investigation.

  • Reports with photos are a minimum $200 plus GST
  • Motor vehicle incident reports are $100 plus GST

Invoices are mailed separately from the fire incident report.

Reports are released only after all investigations are complete.

Request a report

Submit your written request to vfrs.foi@vancouver.ca and include:

  • Incident type
  • Incident date
  • Incident location
  • Names of all people involved in the incident, if known
  • Fire Department case number
  • Your file or reference number

Requesting on behalf of someone?

If you are requesting a report on behalf of someone, also inlcude:

  • Signed consent form
  • Legal company name
  • Your contact information
    • Full mailing address
    • Phone number
    • Email address
